Clemson Class of 2021 - RD

Is anyone still waiting to hear on regular decision?

I applied Nov 29th, out of state and am waiting to hear

My DD applied on Nov. 15 and is still waiting. It is her #1 school so whenever she hears of others getting their decision she begins to get unsettled…

At Clemson, there isn’t really an “Early Action vs. Regular Decision”, they define them differently.

They define it as Priority Applicants (Those who applied by Dec 1 w/ Materials by Dec 15) and Non-Priority Applicants (who apply by Feb 15 w/ Materials by March 15). The official notification for Priority Applicants is on or near Feb 15, while Non-Priority Applicants will hear on or before April 1. Nearly all students that heard “early” were offered merit, or heard due to conditional acceptance. This means that a lack of hearing at this point (in early Jan) is not negative–as the official notification for most acceptances will be on/near Feb 15 (Priority) or April 1 (Non-Priority).

So although it’s easy to, students shouldn’t worry if they haven’t heard yet.

If you have questions your DS or DD could reach out to their admissions counselor via the website (https://www.clemson.edu/admissions/undergraduate/contact.html), or call the admissions office (M-F I believe their hours are 8AM ET - 4PM ET). If you have questions for me you can send me a PM. (I’m an OOS (Midwest) that applied in late-October, I got accepted in late-December w/ scholarships and will be attending.) Hopefully this helps, and good luck!

OOS got in like a month ago and got 15k. Anyone know when honors college releases decisions? They dont have a set date on website from what I see. It’s down to here or UF for me, congrats to all the current and future Tigers on championship last night :).

@chaddyboy25 Honors College decisions are released on or near February 15th for Priority Applicants (last year it was early and done on the 12th I believe) Notification is by email.

Since Clemson has not online portal like other schools will they send an email or do we have to wait for snail mail? Anyone know how big the acceptance envelope is??

This is a top 3 school for me and the only one I have yet to visit, I plan to visit them minute I know I am in

It’s a large envelope with Tigertown bound written on it. I wouldn’t expect anything until Feb unless you are a high stats applicant who will be receiving merit aid @2021NH

I applied in November and have not heard back yet. As a high stat applicant hoping for the 15k scholarship, I am a bit annoyed that I haven’t heard back.

My son heard acceptance right before Christmas. Only received 7700.00 in merit. Might there be more coming?

Congtats on 15,000. Can ask ACT score and gpa? We knly got 7700. And was hoping for more.

Our current Tiger received the 10K scholarship with a 33 ACT and rank around top 10% (school doesn’t rank but, they submit a class profile) Our 2021 applicant received the 15 K scholarship. He has a 35 ACT score and is probably top 2%. We are OOS.

Waiting on honors, hopefully.

Son applied priority and hasn’t rec’d notification yet. However, he rec’d a marketing brochure today about Clemson extracurricular and club offerings. Odd. Any other applicants receive this?

My son, who applied before December 1, received the same brochure yesterday. I thought that it was odd too. We are OOS and are awaiting a decision.

Ha! I just posted a question about that too! What a tease that flyer was!

Also oos.

My daughter received her acceptance letter OOS but was disappointed. They only offered her $7,500 a year … ACT Score 31 GPA 4.5 top 10% of her class. It is her No. 1 choice but realizes that she will have to look at other schools that have offered her more scholarships for her accomplishments. Wondering if Clemson releases any more money to students… Waiting to hear if she has been accepted into Honors College as well.

did you daughter receive over the weekend? We sent OOS for daughter in Oct and have still not heard. Did you get email or snail mail?

Last year Honorssent an email out to check the portal on Feb 12.

@momcollege2017 my child (also OOS) had close to same stats, just got the Tigertown Bound offer in the mail today, but only the $7,500.
