Clemson Class of 2025 Admissions

my NPC said I would only get 1.5k but I got more

Does that 6.5k include your Palmetto Fellows or Life amount?

4k Orange Carpet Scholarship
1k Coy E Cobb Scholarship
1.5k Palmetto Pact Scholarship
( per year )

Does anyone know how Palmetto Fellows works in terms of when that gets applied to our financial package and if that changes if we accept a LIFE Scholarship??

You can qualify for both, but you cannot accept both it is one or the other. I would recommend not accepting LIFE because Palmetto Fellows provides more $$. PF won’t be added to your financial aid til around June (i believe) when you tell the commission where you’re attending college.

That’s awful

THANK YOU! Didn’t want to accidentally accept life if it meant no PF!

In reading the board from last year it sounds like the listed amount starts off by saying LIFE but then when the state of South Carolina finalizes student eligibility Clemson will update it to Palmetto Fellows. My son’s says LIFE as well but he is Palmetto Fellows.

They received $6k from the university, not including Palmetto or Life?

yes it was a mix of 3 scholarships totaling 6k (one of which was palmetto pact)

Wow; that’s actually pretty generous for Clemson. Combined with PF that would cover in-state tuition.

OOS: 3.8UW/4.6W, 33 ACT, nonranking school: $7,500 OOS tuition scholarship and $500 Clemson University scholarship.

NPC predicted $9,000 scholarship, so off (in a bad way) by $1,000.

They really, really offer nothing for OOS kids given how ridiculously expensive OOS tuition and fees are at Clemson ($38.5k).

Clemson OOS tuition is more than UNC, UTK, UofSC and UGA OOS tuition for example.

I just don’t see how a high stat OOS can get the cost-benefit analysis to work for Clemson compared to other likely options.

Son got Palmetto Pact $1,500 and Engineering Dean’s Scholarship of $1,250. Hopefully both are renewable??
