Clemson Class of 2025 Admissions

Does anyone know if Nursing comes out late? Haven’t seen many nursing decisions yet.

It sure seems that way. I had a discussion with another school and they mentioned it is taking far more time than normal to work through the most competitive majors. With testing optional and a holistic review for most candidates, it is bottlenecking decisions. I tried to reach out to Clemson, but was unsuccessful. My D is getting accepted into nursing at a lot of other schools so she remains hopeful…

@mdnh15 by D21 the same. Accepted to Bama, Delaware Miami of Ohio for nursing but nothing from Clemson. Has a 35ACT and 4.0UW GPA with lots of rigor. Three years ago her sister a D18 had identical stats applied as undecided and got accepted in early December. I am thinking it is a nursing school thing at Clemson. Although after the first wave of admissions in November someone stated they were admitted to nursing. Just have to sit tight and not stress.

Our college counselor said that Clemson’s AO said applications were way up this year so with test optional and applications high they need more time to sort through.

It sure seems as though there have been a lot of engineering majors accepted in the early waves. I haven’t noticed any chemistry majors yet. Are they possibly some of the last to be notified?

I could be wrong, but it also seems like mostly earlier applicants have been notified—kids who applied in October or earlier. I may have missed it, but has anyone who applied in November heard yet?

Nope, I applied in early October in-state. They only release decisions before the February date for people who have super high stats and qualify for merit scholarships.

DD21 heard back in November (accepted with merit, amount TBD), but had applied in October, so you may be correct about the timing of application being a factor. Engineering, submitted test scores, top 10% rank. Was really shocked because had read that vast majority of acceptances go out in February.

It really is about the high stats students, those appear to be the only ones that heard early and the ones who most likely will get merit money

D21 submitted on 10/7. Test optional, 4.0/4.7 GPA, 8 AP’s, Top 15 in class of almost 400.
Agribusiness was first choice major. Recommendations and Common App Essay submitted. Still “Awaiting Decision.”

@Wong23 agreed; however, I also think there are kids with stats comparable to those already accepted, who haven’t yet heard. My D’s data is very similar to some of the kids who have already been accepted, but she didn’t get her app in until early Nov, and hasn’t heard yet. I guess we’ll wait and see.

But it might also be about major and other factors that aren’t mentioned. I’m not seeing anyone post that they were accepted and their stats weren’t pretty high. We are waiting but the stats aren’t even close to those mentioned and went in TO. So we definitely won’t hear till February

@cgemaj agree that the pre February 15 admissions are all about the high stat kids. However Clemson is only about stats and the fact that 35 ACT and 4.0 kids are not getting in so far seems to indicate that there may be a major thing or a particular state thing.

Could be for sure! I don’t even want to pretend to understand how admissions works as it is, let alone in a year like this!

Just submitted my personal statement, hoping it favors my chances. By far my #1 school so I’m hoping for the best in February. Good luck to everyone!

I don’t know how up to date the linked calculator is but it maxes out at 12k.

@ Burghdad - I completely agree. I have friends with 4.0 and 1550 from CA and they have not heard. Nor have I. Any body from CA, hear yet?

We are in CA and my son has not heard.
