I'm currently a Junior year in HS. My first two years of HS were terrible. I didn't apply myself at all and was caught up in the whole "I'm in High School, you can't tell me a thing" phase. Now those days has caught up to me and I'm in fear of my future. I want to attend Clemson University but I'm afraid I've dug myself into a hole I can't recover from. Do you think I have a chance based on :

2.1 GPA
2120 - SAT
30 - ACT
3.8 GPA (current year)
INSTATE
Alumni Relation - (5 family members in the last 10 years)
Minority
6 AP classes

I did some research for you:

“80% had h.s. GPA of 3.75 and higher
10% had h.s. GPA between 3.5 and 3.74
6% had h.s. GPA between 3.25 and 3.49
3% had h.s. GPA between 3.0 and 3.24
1% had h.s. GPA between 2.5 and 2.99”

Also, taking a look at the graph HERE:
[Clemson University - GPA, SAT Scores and ACT Scores Needed for Admission](Clemson University: Acceptance Rate, SAT/ACT Scores, GPA)
… It looks to me that they don’t accept people with a GPA lower than 2.5.

Your current GPA is pretty high so it should be able to bump that 2.1 up a little. I think you should still apply next year. It wouldn’t hurt. I mean, your test scores are great and you ARE a legacy. But I think that you should have safety schools picked out because the odds aren’t in your favor :/
