I live in CT and am deciding between Penn State and Clemson. I want a big, spirited school and can’t decide which one I should go to, and they would both end up costing about the same. I am going in undecided for both so I can’t really narrow it down to which school would better suit my major better. It would be nice to be close to home but I’m also okay with flying to SC because of the weather. I don’t know how I’d feel with all the southern aspects of clemson (cowgirl boots and dresses for game day vs ripped tees lol). please give your opinion!!
Not if he flies @Jocassee from Clemson to CT, and drives from PA. It all depends
on how he plans to travel.
Clemson provides shuttles to the airport . Driving in winter weather from Pennsylvania to Connecticut may be much more difficult than flying.
Did you get into Calhoun at Clemson?
Look into specifics : living-learning communities, dorms, clubs, required courses for possible majors, ease of double majoring, required gen ed classes, possibility to join the honors college later on if you’re not in already…
Have you visited both, spent an overnight, attended classes (Freshman English, a large science class)?
@jocasee @carolinamom2boys I would fly to Clemson and drive to Penn State. my older brother goes to psu so it would be easy to travel, but I don’t really want to go to the same school as him because I want my own school and we don’t get along very well.
@MYOS1634 No I did not but I got a sizable merit scholarship which is also nice. I have not visited both but will by the end of this month.
At any school that has 45,000 undergraduates, your odds of seeing a specific person would be very small.
However it sounds like it makes you favor Clemson, which is perfectly okay!
