Clemson Puts Greek Life On Social Probation For Fall Semester

After re-reading the original post and article, I hereby nominated InterestedDad for the biggest thread hijack ever. A question about how a university should handle drinking and hazing by current students on its campus has been turned into a debate on the merits of blacklisting certain high schools in the admissions process.

If you allow students to drink, next they’ll be dancing!

As I was saying, the fundamental problem here is that the colleges endorse the binge drinking and refuse to do anything about it.

Clemson had been overruled on its sanctions:

Notice that the greek students, who apparently run the university, made the announcement. Presumably the President will now be run out of town for having the audacity to take a stand.
