Hi, everyone. Congrats to all of those starting at Clemson in August! My son will be applying for class of 2026. I am looking for any insight from out-of-state class of 2025 students or parents who applied without test scores. Did anyone receive out-of-state merit scholarships without submitting test scores, and if so, would you mind sharing if you have knowledge of how admissions is making that decision (since in the past, OOS merit has been based on test scores and class rank)? Scholarships aside, I am also interested in hearing if you thought your/your son or daughter’s admissions decision was negatively affected by scores not being submitted. Thanks for any insight!

I would also like to know. An OOS friend said that her child got $20k per year grant (not merit) and that seems unlikely for an OOS student.
Ive never heard of Clemson giving OOS need-based aid.
Is this something new?

My daughter got something called an OOS grant ($8000?). She received merit from every college she applied to, some significantly more than Clemson. She did submit scores, 33 ACT 3.9 UWGPA.
