Hello so iam Currenlty Transfering to one of these two School, and i need some advice from Someone that has Experience in this type of Situation. So there is a Bmw manufacturing Company In South Carolina. And Bmw is the Company i want to work for As a Mechanical Engineer/ Automotive engineer Both schools are good , but i heard that Georgia Tech is More Prestigious and Might help to make it easier to find a Job after graduation. But knowing that the BMW manufacturing Company is Closer to Clemson, being that i might be able to do an internship while going school, and Clemson haveing Programs with BMW is Kinda winning over the fact of having to go to Atlanta,Georgia. I just need the Opinion of you guys and what you guys think and what you think the Best decision would be? Thanks for reading and for your time.
Thanks again

Which school are you instate for ?

How much do you have to pay for each school?

If this was graduate school, it would be Clemson hands down since they have a very good automotive engineering program (look it up - CU-ICAR) but for undergrad the difference between the two probably isn’t as huge as you think. Georgia Tech is def more prestigious but if Clemson is affordable as opposed to GT, it might be better to go with Clemson. If you graduate from NC State, Virginia Tech, GT, Clemson or Auburn in good shape academically, you’ll have no problem finding an engineering job.

I agree with pierre0913. You would probably be able to intern at BMW if you were a Georgia Tech student, too. Forget about the other differences; this should come down to cost and fit.

Clemson and GT are both highly respected for automotive engineering.
