Hey folks! Just wondering how many essays your kids are doing for their Clemson app. Since it was optional we only did one, but now Im wondering if we should do more than one?

My kid is applying to the honors college so planning on doing the 2 required for that. If kid wasn’t interested in the honors college, we would likely do none or one.

I’m curious how Clemson works the Common App essay, do they read it/ignore it, only read the Clemson personal statement? Do they see the additional statements that are part of the Common app essay or not?

Last year my student did not do a Clemson essay, only the common app submission. Accepted early decision.

there was no supplemental essay for Clemson on the common app. Just the common app personal essay.
