Clemson, University of SCar, College of Charleston, Auburn

Little bit of back story..I graduated high school with a 3.7 GPA and 1830 SAT. (620 math, 580 reading, 630 writing) I enrolled in Clemson University for one year, and ended up getting terrible grades due to too much partying. Ended up dropping out with a gpa around 1.0, and enrolled in a tech school for 1 semester (3.6 gpa) and then joined the military. Overall I have accumulated about 37 transferrable credit hours.

Now I am serving in the military and about to get out and enroll back into college now that I have got my **** together. I was just wondering if colleges are going to look really hard into my academic resume prior to my military service, and if that will deter them from accepting me. I'm looking to major in Biology and do AFROTC as well. Just wondering what my chances are getting back into clemson, or into usc, auburn, or college of charleston.

How many years ago was your college record? They’ll definitely look at that if it is still fresh but if I were you I would go to a local tech/community college, take some classes to show that you are capable of succeeding in a college atmosphere and then reapply and if you have a good GPA, you’ll have a good chance at all those schools!
