Does anyone know how many nursing students are accepted each year for Nursing?

Re: waitlist - does anyone know what criteria Clemson uses when taking from the waitlist? I’m curious if the students are re-evaluated, or if it’s ‘first who accepted their WL spot first admitted’?

I also am curious about that hopefully someone has an answer

Who is the best person to email to show demonstrated interest? Your admission counselor or the admissions email?

We sent ours to admission email. It tells you in the waitlist email where to send it.

Great question. Hoping an answer rolls in.

E-mail the admissions counselor for your area. My D emailed her Clemson counselor and expressed her continued interest. She answered and told her it was a super competitive year (as we all know) and it was very tough because of all the great applicants. She said there’s always a chance they can make waitlist decisions throughout the spring, but to proceed with your number 2 choice so you’re guaranteed that you will be college-bound in the fall. Then if Clemson works out, you can change things. I’ve told my D to make peace with another option just in case! They all end up where they’re supposed to be! Good luck to all!

Yes on everything @mraxel305 has posted. Find your admissions counselor and stay in touch with her/him. And if your admissions counselor is not responding, find another one. Show continued interest and be flexible. Our admissions counselor told us that folks may be pulled off the waitlist for January admission instead of Fall.

As for how they pull off the waitlist, my daughter’s counselor told her that Clemson does not pull off the waitlist by rank. They base it on needs of the university and student interest. So I interpreted that as
it’s a crapshoot. No one knows what the university is looking for with this particular class (more diversity? more folks from West coast? Midwest?). The only thing you can control is your interest in the school.

GOOD LUCK!

My son was waitlisted as well. Clemson is by far his top pick. Hoping this very strange application year is good to us all. The waitlist numbers seem to alternate high/low every year and the cycle shows this would normally be a low year, but maybe the weirdly high number of applications will alter that. Good luck y’all!

my advisor hasn’t answered my email I sent 3 days ago is this a bad sign? should I email someone else?

I imagine they’re super busy this time of year. I wouldn’t read anything into it just yet. My son’s advisor told him they’re more concerned with admissions right now. Hang in a few more days.

I wouldn’t read too much into it either, but it sure is frustrating. I’d give them a week, then nudge them again. Good luck!
