I would like advice on which online courses and other study aids are best. My college sophomore son needs US History credits for his engineering degree, so he is planning to take one or both CLEP US History tests. He will need a score of 65 to get credit. In 11th grade, he took honors US History (not AP), so it's been a few years. Any advice on which online courses and other study aids are the best? Suggestions on how many hours of studying are appropriate? Anyone have success/failure stories and advice you are willing to share?

I know a student who took US History I immediately after a high school honors course and scored a 53 with no additional studying. A score of 65 will require some work. To prepare quickly for this exam, see [Degree Planners - Accelerated Study](HugeDomains.com)

Thanks you, SGP.

Have you checked out the CLEP website yet? If you haven’t been on it in a while, major updates have been made! There is a free download of both US History exams (called “At a Glance”) which not only has a breakdown of what is covered on the exams, but also some recommended textbooks and other online resources. Here is the weblink to get you started: [CLEP - College Level Examination Program (CLEP) -Save Time. Save Money.
Thanks, Buckeye. I’ll check it out and pass it on to my son.
