According to the calendar on the Office of Civic Education homepage, notifications of "intern acceptance and placement" were to have been sent out this week. I personally made it through the first round of cuts (got an interview), but have yet to receive a letter alerting me to my current standing.
However, the internship program's FAQ section answered the inquiry of "When will students find out if they were selected for the program" by saying, "All students submitting an application will be notified via U.S. mail regarding their status in late spring of 2009."
Is any other applicant who garnered an interview in this same situation?

Still-nothing-in-the-mail bump

Hey Biner_51, this is ironic, but I was in the same situation as you, except I started panicking after April 6th since its indicated they would start notification and I didn’t get anything (ps I had an interview as well), but I finally got my acceptance letter today, the 13th in the mail. I am in the Medical Laboratory Program, what about you?

hi alpha12, i was just wondering whether your last name was in the first half of the alphabet. i was thinking maybe they sent letters by name or maybe by location. i have not yet recieved anything, acceptance or rejection, and i was wondering what anybody knew about the letter sending process.

my last name is at the bottom of the alphabet and i know two other people who have later last names and have not recieved anything. also i know somebody whos last name begins with a “g” who was accepted today. thanks

My last begins with an S, so I don’t think it goes alphabetically since I have a friend whose last name is N and I know another person with a last name E. Neither of them have received anything.

hey, yeah actually the day after i wrote up that message i got a letter. i got in the science internship program. i guess it just maybe depends on where you live, what internship it is is, and how fast the mailman can get it to you.
