Greetings.

[Voice = +8 Octaves]

I am a mere wanderer who seeks thy blessings, O' Spirits of Infinite Perception and Intelligence! Guide me, O' Wise Ones, to the Path of Righteousness, Courage, and Wisdom! The very Universe bends with your will, O' Great Ones! Praise da' lawd!

[/Voice]

Now that I have sufficiently intoxicated you with a healthy dose of ridiculously melodramatic exaltation, reading the next million words of this post shouldn't be too difficult.

I won't say that "MIT has been my dream for as long as I can remember", because I unfortunately have both short and long term memory loss. So, perhaps MIT has been my dream for many years. Or, maybe my childhood dream was Emory University's Yerkes Primate Research Center. I do not know. I would flourish at both institutions. I would appreciate any and all advice that you have for me.

Whenever I envision myself at college, I am at MIT, strolling through the Infinite Corridor, amongst you Spirits of Infinite Wisdom.

Extracurriculars
[ul]
[li]Programming: C\C++ and Python. I am part of a group of game programmers that I started up along with some of my friends. We program games in Python using PyGame. I would post the URL, but the website is ghetto, so I won't until the website looks better :D [I will post the URL if you wish]. [/li][]President of Science Club.
[]Secretary of Debate Club (I are t3h 1337 in d3b4t3).
[]Lead Designer\Planning (I come with the ideas, sketch the pieces that we will work on) of National Art Honors Society.
[]Poetry - I write many, many poems on very random topics. I do especially well with descriptive (haiku) and narrative poetry.
[]Drawing? Art? Something? - In my free time, I draw science-fiction, portraits, and mathematically-modeled abstract art.
[]Physics - I read almost every single book about theoretical physics\cosmology\astrophysics\quantum mechanics that I can get my hands on. Mathematics and Cosmo\Quantum [I believe I have made my point.] Physics are the two subjects that I am most passionate about.
[]Robotics - Our school doesn't have a robotics team, but I have many sketches for possible robot designs. I was inspired by a slinky that I got in goody bag after a birthday party. :D The school that I'll be attending next year has an amazing FIRST Robotics Team [They placed first nationally in some competition, the details of which I am unaware of [I am assuming it was the FIRST Robotics Competition], but it was a $50,000 robot.]

I am applying to ROSS, HCSSiM, and MathCamp for the summer.

*A bit brief, but I can explain my interests in much greater detail if you wish.

Anyway, I fear that I have become quite redundant verbose, and thus, I shall give you all what you really came here for: Here is your cookie.

you try too hard.

and i'm not talking about academics.

w00t!
be prepared for a summer of u t t e r. p w n a g e.

Does that cookie have pecans in it?

Chaos! Read any good books lately?

By the way, I have a great friend who's going to Ross for his 3rd time this summer and really enjoys it. If you go, be sure to bring a frisbee. If I had a dollar for everytime I've heard a story about ultimate frisbee and Ross, I'd be at Barnes and Noble picking out a book right now.

[/quote]

Of course. Unless you're allergic to pecans. That wouldn't be good.

Indeed, I have. I've read some Penrose and Feynman lately, as well as Quantum by Jim Al-Khalili.

I'm currently reading A Passion for Mathematics by Clifford A. Pickover. It is quite amusing. I highly recommend it. :D

cookie ?

Yes, cookie.

omg cookie! :D

your enthusiasm for physics makes me happy. you should go for the us physics team. i made it twice and it's pretty awesome if you like physics. also ncssm hasn't had some quals in a while, which is a huge shame.

also, epgy multivariable calculus and linear algebra blows because it's so darn computational. get axler and hubbard/hubbard or spivak or some other really good books and learn analysis and introductory algebra the right way.

Cookie FTW!

I'm still looking for that cookie :(

I seriously didn't think you meant that type of cookie when I clicked.

Web cookie, perhaps? Anyone who is logged on gets a cookie from CC. :)

no cookie? :(

Fine, I'll UPS you guys a box of cookies.

Web cookie??? Omg rip offff :P

Hey Chaos, can you please send your genetic and environmental influences to me? Thanks

As for your chances, I'd gage near 100% at Caltech. But MIT is too arbitrary. :p

The picture of the cookie is nice... but I am left salivating :P

Wazzapnin' MIT?
