click me. I have a serious question for uci.

So I got accepted to uci and ucsd and I was planning to go ucsd until I found out that the ucsd admission revoke those who get a D in second semester.... I currently have a D in calc ap class and it is almost impossible to raise my grade up to a C. fml

Do you guys(admitted, prospective,or current uci students) know if the uci admission accept those with only one D in second semester. If they do accept, then I'm planning to enroll uci.

it’s the same for any UC… just talk to your teacher if you can do an extra credit project or somethin. I had a friend doing the same and telling the teacher it was their last chance. Basically, making the teacher feel bad… i kno, pretty messed up but he raised his grade to a C+

Its not automatic revoke, call the admissions office to clarify. And talk to your teacher about your grade, teachers are human too.

cajongrl & junshik: thank you. I’ll talk to my teacher for help.

One D is ok for UCI. It says you can get revoked for MULTIPLE D’s or F’s, which means one is ok, but nonetheless, you do need to provide an explanation.

i have another question: on the contract it says maintain a weighted 3.0 senior year in a-g courses. does that mean both semesters combined or each?

so if you happen to receive one D senior year, they might not take away your admission?
