Good chances! Although you’re international, which makes everything more difficult to predict.

international students are not eligible for financial aid anyway, so not applying for aid doesn’t help you.

^wow I just realized that… Has the policy always been that way?

I agree, you have good chances.

The policy has always been that way, BUT it might help you because NYU loves full pay customers.

it makes sense, in a way. a lot of time, NYU will supplement your financial aid with government loans. . .loans that international students are not eligible for because they are not US citizens.

you may qualify for scholarships in NZ that you can apply to NYU, though.

ahh it’s okay, luckily I wont be needing financial aid.
But I am still INCREDIBLY nervous, because I looked at the NYU fall 09 statistics…

SAT Critical Reading Score Range (middle 50%): 630 - 730

SAT Math Score Range (middle 50%): 650 - 750

faintdiefaint those are really high middle range scores. 25% of the people score over 730 CR and 750 maths… holy crap.

that includes all of the schools, from Stern to CAS to Gallatin to SCPS to Social Work.

also, i wouldn’t take the SAT II in Chinese if you’re Asian. if you’re Chinese, an 800 won’t be that exciting.

Alright, I’m sorry to bump such an old thread back up… But I am freaking out here. I need another chance just for some comfort. Be as harsh as you want… I just need to hear something!!

Btw sat scores come out in 10 days. Judging from practice tests, the lowest I will get on the sat is 2000… I am hoping for a 2100 or above! Does this help my chances a lot more?
