Cliffs AP Eng Lang/Comp

I'm using the Cliffs AP Lang/Comp book to review for the AP test this Wednesday, and I was wondering if anyone else was using it.

I am getting about a 38 average raw score average on the practice tests and I was wondering if these tests are harder, easier, or about the same level of difficulty in regards to the real test this Wednesday (I know Barron's is notorious for being difficult and I am wondering how Cliffs compares).

Also, the sample essays I am reading that get high scores are ridiculously complex and well-written with numerous citations to obscure works that I've never heard of. Has anyone read the sample essays and have an opinion about them, in particular how practical and accurate they are compared to the actual AP scores?

I'll appreciate any commentary or insight any of you may have,
Thanks,
Bellumvir

I have it...and that's just kind of how it goes. If you want a 9, you need to back up your points with potent examples.

They're not that hard to think up, no matter how low a level of self-efficacy you have. There are literally millions of possible examples to choose from, you just need to apply them logically and to the right points.

Yeah, I agree, I think that quoting novels I've and various works I've read in the past is a very good idea.

Does anyone know how the multiple choice practice questions compare to the actual test though?
