cliffsAP for chem

I choose the cliffsAP book for AP Chemistry because of the good results I had with cliffsAP last year for biology. Was this a good choice?

It was either cliffsAP or princeton review but I chose cliffsAP

I have both and I think the CliffsAP book is really lacking in explanation but the examples are great. If you’ve been learning the stuff in your class throughout the year with a good teacher then Cliffs should be all you need.

This is based on consensus, not personal experience, but the Cliffs seems to have great reaction/lab sentences, but is pretty lacking in thorough explanation. It is supposed to be a great supplement for those two areas. However, the lab questions are relatively straightforward and are not an important part of the test anymore, and the reactions can be best studied through experience with solubility rules and such in the classroom. Overall, not the best book, but it has its perks.

I have a princeton review book from 2000 that someone gave me… should I use that?

no get the 2008 ones. Its 18 bucks :]

^I’m not buying that one. I think the content hasn’t really changed

^bump…
