Clinical Lab Sciences?

<p>Is anyone majoring in this? I really like Biology and Clinical lab sciences. I like that right after your B.S. you'll find a job quickly in clinical lab sciences with a decent pay. Biology, unfortunately, doesn't have great pay with a B.S. degree :( Can anyone in this field tell me your opinion on this major?</p>

<p>Med Technologists are in demand. I believe after the major there is 1 year of rotations and a certification. The pay is not great. About 1/2 to 2/3 of a registered nurse $40k to $50k. It may also include shift work. The people I know in it aren’t happy. They are the lowest on the health care totem pole and hospitals like to make cuts in the lab where it is not as visible to the patients.</p>

<p>Well, I’m looking to be a veterinarian. I like both of those majors. If I cannot get into vet school on my first try then I want something to fall back on. Nursing would be way off track for me, since I don’t want to be involved with humans (I’m just more passionate about helping animals). I was thinking of getting more experience as a clinical lab scientist at a emergency vet clinic. I still haven’t decided what I’m majoring in and I have until Fall 2011.
