What are the schools going to do? Does anyone have a solid plan from their programs yet?
The options Cincinnati has mentioned are online simulations (luckily they’ve done enough face to face stuff that it will make sense) or tack on hours to next semester (doesn’t help the seniors). The Ohio Board of Nursing has encourage “creative” solutions to that problem, so we sit and wait.
My D’s school is doing online simulations/case studies but that’s for sophomores/juniors. No idea what will happen with seniors. Tough.
My sophomore starting doing simulations today using Zoom with her clinical group - it looks like that is how she is going to finish this year out.
The seniors have also been doing online virtual simulations, case studies, and doing online meetings with their instructors.
