I was looking in the online registrar and noticed that lots of courses are already marked "CLOSED," which kind of freaks me out. Are people already registering? Is it that upperclassmen have registered already?
Assuage my paranoia!

The classes of '09, '08, and '07 have already registered. Check to see if the classes that are closed have seats reserved for freshmen. If they do, then that means you'll be able to register for them in the fall (but you'll have to hurry since there are a set number of seats). You can also e-mail the professor of a course that's closed to try and get in. I did that for an ECS seminar coming up in the fall, and it worked.

Secondly, upperclassmen will be add-dropping in the fall. We're not allowed to change anything until the first day you guys are able to register, so some spots will open up in some courses most likely.

thanks a million!
