present students can you tell us anything about the typical fashion scene at fsu? what are the popular styles, and stores? if pledging do you need a suit or formal dress? where else would you have to wear formal fashion?

Many students dress very casually for classes, usually shorts with collared shirts or t-shirts and either sneakers or sandals unless it is cold. You need nicer clothes for internship interviews and business casual for formal speakers. I believe most frats/sororities have formal events where they dress up.

Partiers also wear all white t-shirt and shorts that will get day-glow painted at the clubs.

sounds like one suit is fine then! although he may want to load up on tshirts for the day glo parties hahaha

Hopefully FSU-UF or one of the other current students will give us their point of view on campus attire as well. I am just going by my son's wardrobe.

He likes to wear non-iron long sleeve striped shirts and jeans with boat shoes and sometimes a blazer when he is going out at night as well.

You may find that your student will bring home a few trash bags of laundry at the breaks if they can get away with it.

Socks for sandals (yes - I know its crazy, but they do it) in cold weather.

How do the female students dress?
