Hi, can anywhere tell me where the nearest place to CMU to buy clothes is? Thanks.

The vendor across the street selling t-shirts.

Bookstore?

But really, what do you mean by "buy clothes" ??? Pittsburgh is a city, and there are lots of places to buy everything.

like souvenir clothes? or CLOTHES?

Closest meaning short walking distance (if any are within walking distance). Clothes meaning ordinary regular clothes (doesn't have to have formal stuff). Thanks.

Anyone here?

We're all just wondering why there is someone, apparently naked but with access to the internet, wandering around Pittsburgh/the CMU campus.

:)

Well you guys sure are helpful.

ride the bus to squirrel hill or the waterfront... the former only takes 10 minutes.

Shadyside might have some okay stores.

I don't get it.... there are clothes for sale EVERYWHERE. This question is hardly valid, yet you ridicule us for being unhelpful. Ok: Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, Waterfront, South Side, Oakland, Downtown, Robinson Township.... these are some places you can find clothes.

The closest place within walking distance seems to be a resale shop a couple of blocks down Forbes. Next closest is Shadyside - lots of national chains. The Waterfront will give you the most variety of stores from Target to boutiques.

There are no general department store types of places within walking distance.

For very basic (like socks etc.), maybe the CVS in Oakland or Shadyside?

You can google map the campus then search businesses for "clothing" to see what's nearby.
