there's most everything except the high end designer stuff - the mall has typical mall places, gap, hollister, abercrombie and fitch, target, victora's secret, plus a bunch of other stores that slip my mind.

Also, you can travel about 45 minutes north and shop in Syracuse where there's a huge mall to shop in.

w8

no polo/lacoste?

I dont consider them to be 'designer', but I'm not sure where/if you can find them in Ithaca. Macy's in syracuse has Polo, not sure about lacoste.

the mall actually doesn't have a hollister.

here's a listing of all the stores in pyramid mall. also theres a TJ Maxx nearby, I've never been there but I girl I know in DG told me she got a pair of Uggs there for $50 (I assume that's good?).

it's ok, hollister is for high schoolers

thanx.
so for syracuse, r there buses from campus that goes there directly? would i be able to go and come back on the same day... basically, how many bus runs r there a day to syracuse? wait, what abt ny?

OOh ... I think there's also a bus that goes to Woodbury Common Premium Outlets. It's a a major hike, but major shopping too. I remember seeing info on the bus -- as if it was going to a transportation hub -- it's about 3 hrs from Ithaca, but if you could do down and back in a day you could definitely take care of your designer shopping fix.

WOODBURY COMMONS IS GOD LIKE! I SWEAR that place is the best place ever created.. worth the walking around..

Cornellstudent09, the pair of Uggs she got is probably some unsightly color that didn't sell at retail price. My mom has a pair of blue Uggs from TJMaxx that were a similar price, but they're..uh..blue.

people also go to the waterloo shopping outlets (in between ithaca and buffalo) if one of you has a car or one of your floormates, it's a trip worth making...i've never been but i did see it on the way to darien lake...

for the first month or two you'll need summer clothes, then its pretty much a coat and boots...

i'd like to add small correction to that last statement

first month or two is summer weather (shorts and sandals), middle is usually hoodie and jeans, then the last 2 weeks of the fall is boots and jacket

oops guess i was still asleep...you are right...i didnt even buy my boots and coat until january

landsend.com offers very economic winter clothes (vs. northface)

Basically anything you'd want except really high-end stuff. You won't find a Neiman Marcus or Saks up in Ithaca, but short of that, you can probably find anything you need.

The only mall i really go to is the Pyramid Mall. In terms of clothing, they have American Eagle, Abercrombie, Target, Old Navy, Victoria's Secret, and maybe a few others. I never really buy clothes up at school, I mainly go for Dick's Sporting Goods, Target, and Best Buy, and sometimes Borders.

So, i guess if you're looking for Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, or J. Crew you'll be traveling a little bit, but I'm sure you can find it within a 30-40 minute drive at the very worst.

so are there buses to syracuse/buffalo?

and do they have H&M or Express anywhere near ithaca? I would shop at home (ST. Louis) but my parents and I just moved to Morehead, KY cuz my dad got teaching position here so it's pretty much hicksville usa...

Gap is love but H&M and Express would be very helpful.

ps, and not one of those all girl H&Ms that annoy the crap out of me.

Express there.... anyone? And is there a Saks Fifth Avenue?

there's no express near Ithaca...there is no decent shopping (except for Abercrombie, because they make short jeans)...better figure out your size and get used to buying online.

express is in syracuse.

why on earth would you even consider Saks being put in a town of 30,000 people???

furthermore, please read the replies before asking questions. Observe: "You won't find a Neiman Marcus or Saks up in Ithaca" ... 2 replies later you ask if there's a Saks. Dolt!

Pyramid mall isn't good at all. The mall in syracuse is OK with a Macy's (where you can find your lacoste) and a ton of other stores. If you are looking for some other ok stuff, drive an hour up route 89 to the Waterloo outlets.. There is Polo, Banana Repubic, Jcrew, Brooks Brothers and some others. Or go to NYC on fall break.

But, if you are looking for your Neiman Marcus goods, I suggest shopping online.
