Clothing Styles

This may seem pretty strange to some of you. But I was wondering if anybody could give me any insight on the Penn State popular clothing styles. Being from the south, the general trends are usually short golf shorts and a button down polo/vineyard vines/brooks brothers shirt for a more preppy look, or simply a t-shirt/polo collared shirt and short golf shorts, and in the winter generally khakis or blue jeans and a patagonia/mountain hard wear jacket. is it the exact same up north? or are there many differences. do a lot of people gel their air up north (something I've heard) because most people wouldn't be caught dead gelling their air in the deep south haha. Well, I hope most of you won't consider me too effeminiate or strange, I am a heterosexual male just wondering what the styles are. What would most fraternity guys wear? The same things?

guy style by the way. and I meant hair instead of air haha

It’s essentially the same as what you described in the South

When we visited Penn State everyone seemed pretty casual. By that I mean guys in shorts and tees, girls in sweats and flip flops. From what I have seen, the clothing at colleges in the South is a little dressier.

Agree w/ pamom…mostly, for guys, most of the time it appears that they’ve rolled out of bed and put on the first thing they see (clean vs. dirty, wrinkled vs. not)… I’m not sure it’s that much different for many of the females!

astrophysicsmom, Didn’t realize you had a child at PSU. (Your D is now a grad student where one of my kiddos was an undergrad.)
