I’m interested in starting a club next year, any ideas? Something service oriented would be great!
I don’t think you should start a club just to start a club. You should club when you find a gap in things that you like to do…if you like to play golf and there is no golf team then you may say let me see if I can get a golf club going.
Or if there is a service club for people in a different country but not one for your local community and you feel strongly about that.
But anyway…
You can start two different kinds of clubs…an existing organization or on your own.
Key Club is a service organization…does your HS have one? You could start a chapter.
What do you like to do? What do you like?
STEM?
Animals?
Reading?
What kind of people do you like to work with?
Older people?
Kids?
Developmentally disabled?
Community?
Let’s say you like STEM and you like to work with kids…you could try to create a Girls who Code club for middleschoolers.
If you like animals, you could collect dog food for the SPCA.
If you want to work with Developmentally disabled you could create a club that pairs “typical” students with Developmentally disabled and do fun things.
