<p>So stupid college apps but anyways the thing is that I'm heavily involved in many clubs but I don't have any leadership positions in them... how much will this affect my apps if i'm aiming for ucla/ uc berkeley</p>

<p>I feel like even if you don’t have any leadership positions, if you’re in a lot of extra-curricular activities, it would still show how involved you are. </p>
<p>Club involvement with no leadership is unfortunately like no club involvement at all. If you can, I’d really try to get officer positions in your clubs, even if they’re minor ones! I’m sure you’ll be able to with all the time you’ve put in. </p>
<p>If you have the grades and test scores for it, then I don’t think Cal really cares about extracurriculars. Or vice versa–if you have a lot of great activities listed on your application, then adcoms will likely forgive a weaker transcript, since they do evaluate applicants holistically after all. On the other hand, UCLA likes to see that you’re president/captain/officer of at least one thing, although it’s definitely still possible to get in without. </p>

<p>@Coriander23 My class rank is top 5 right now or something and my SAT is a high 2200ish and I am a leader at my church as well as a tutor but i really don’t know if thats enough…</p>
