I'm an incoming freshman and planning to join some clubs. What would be a good number of clubs to participate in? 2? 3? Given the vast number of clubs, any clubs you would recommend?

I'm looking to join SAA and UCLA VITA in the fall (gonna be a junior). Looking into USAC and any of its commissions would be a great idea too (something I wished I had done earlier).

And seeing as how I'm in a fraternity (Zeta Psi), I highly recommend checking us out for fall rush (if you're a guy lol) :D

Yea, Bruin Bash during week zero is where all the clubs and orgs come out on the IM field to advertise.

Different clubs have different commitments so its hard to say. a club like SAA or a fraternity will take up a lot of your time, and that alone might be enough for some people. then if you're like in... asian american club, it's going to be an hour a week and you could join several.

if you're good with time management i could easily see you join a LOT, like i know some people in SAA, ORL, dance marathon, all of which requirement several hours a week.

i'm also in 3 very time consuming professional organizations, whose names i wont list for discretion, and i'll have one hell of abusy fall. i also have an easy major , if i was south campus there's no way i'd be able to do that.
