What clubs are you in?

Is it possible to be active in many and deal with homework and life in general?

What clubs are you in?

Is it possible to be active in many and deal with homework and life in general?

yes, it's possible. But remember there are only so many hours in the day. What you don't want to do is overextend yourself.

I'm in...
College Republicans
International Relations Club
Foreign Affairs publication writer
IM Sports
Concert Band
Jazz Ensemble
Pep Band

... yea.

I'm in:

Amnesty International

I was super busy in high school as well, so yeah, I'm active in all these activities and still do tons of homework and stay (mostly) sane

i'm in

Habitat for Humanity
College Democrats

and sometimes Math Club.. and an entertainment club at another college.

I'm in Gamma Beta Phi (new member) and Golden Key. I don't even go to the golden key meetings though because the times are crazy. What is wrong with 4 or 5 pm people?

people can't meet at 4 or 5 pm... work and classes get in the way. that's why most clubs have their meetings at 930 pm (well.. at least at my school anyway)

I'm in...

Marching Band
Model United Nations (officer)
Floor Government (officer)
alumni scholars club - scholarship outreach
2 culture clubs: association of chinese americans and nikkei student union
college democrats
2 honor societies (don't do much though)

i also volunteer as student advisor for 3 different high school MUN programs, and i judged for academic decathlon

so yes, its possible to deal with clubs and college work/life. it all depends on time management. real time management. however, i do find that most people who have a job aren't as involved in clubs. also, if you do a time-intensive commitment like a frat, then you'll have less time (and maybe less passion) for other things, but i've seen others who seem to be involved in almost everything on campus haha.

haha wow, you guys are busy...I barely have time to committ to my two clubs and still manage to get work done

I'm in McGill improv
Newman Students association (the catholic group on campus)
I'm an officer in the latter and next year will be an officer in both...

I'm also technically in a bunch more but I don't do a lot with them...so these are the only two clubs I am actually really involved in.

I'm a slacker.... Disciples on Campus and Student Activities Board... Hopefully I'll get in Student Judicial Board as well

which screws over commuters. i guess someone would get screwed either way.

I think it would be possible so long as you're not a major procrastinator.

I'm definitely involved in a bunch of clubs... And I keep ending up with leadership positions in them. I'm not really sure how... I'm a freshman, but I keep finding myself an officer, leader, etc... Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad things. This is what I'm in:

college democrats (officer)
habitat (officer)
big brothers/big sisters (have a little sis and oversee a HS BBBS program)
volunteer for family w/ special needs kids
organize & run program for special kids on sunday afternoons
african american society
circle k (officer)
democratic socialists
peace group (co-chair)
outing club
climbing club

And I do still have lots of time for work and for my friends... sleep, well that's another question. But no regrets. These are the moments, these are the times :-)
