clue to acceptance or rejection

OTHER THAN THE LIKELY LETTERS:

Does anyone know of a way to get an idea of the decision before it comes out? For instance, one school called my d before she was actually accepted and asked her questions.

Another school sent her an honors app before she was accepted.

maybe the date that is listed on myuncpage? b's date is 12/10 so i was thinking that if he was outright rejected it would have said sometime in NOV?
Anyone out there from last year that might have input

There doesn't even seem to be a good idea of what the LL actually mean.

2007mom said OTHER than the lls. we all know that is a sign.

What are you talking about maximus? It's pretty clear what likely letters mean..

Well if you all say so... But until a formal offer is sent, we're not celebrating.

I've never heard of a likely letter being sent to a candidate who was ultimately declined. That would be an incredibly bad pr move.

If you want to still worry then thats up to you but its already decided :-P

"maybe the date that is listed on myuncpage? b's date is 12/10 so i was thinking that if he was outright rejected it would have said sometime in NOV?"

idk about that because the last date my application was updated was 11//07, and i ended up receiving a likely letter. who knows.

it used to say

date applied 10/ whatever the date

updated date 11/whatever

now the updated date is 12/10.

That lead us to believe that they first looked at it on 11 something and made the decision on 12/10? So i thought maybe that was good cause if it was an outright reject there would be not 12/10. yours would be different cause of the likely letter. bro did not get one. but your date could be tied to the letter? or simply that you are in easily or they would not have bothered sending you the letter.

My son's update date is 11/16. I don't know what it means - perhaps they read his app that day?
