Law school’s a graduate school…
meaning, you have to have a BA first to apply to law school. And you take the LSATs in 16th grade! :)

In the United States, a degree in law is a graduate degree.

First you go to college, where you earn a B.A. or a B.S. You can study basically any subject you like. People talk about being “pre-law,” but that’s really a college advising program, and not a field of study.

After finishing an undergraduate degree (or, in many cases, during your final year of undergraduate study, as you are finishing your bachelor’s degree), then you apply to law schools. If you study full-time, it takes three years to earn a law degree. The degree that American law schools grant to new lawyers is a juris doctor, or J.D., degree.

Applying to law schools is similar to applying to universities for undergraduate study. You submit transcripts that show your college grades, letters of recommendation from professors, and standardized test scores. The LSAT is the standardized test that is used for law school admissions, much the way the SAT or ACT is used for undergraduate admissions.

(X-post with above)

It can be difficult for an int’l to go to law school in the US, unless the student/family has the money.

Most domestic students take out fed grad/law school student loans, but an int’l can’t take those out.

thanks people…
is there like anything such as u can do do both B.A and LSAT together or something? i mean, its there a joint course ? one followed by other w/o any disruption or something?! or any such college that provide u with that combo?

LSAT is a test…like the SAT.

Are you asking if any school does a BS and a law degree (J.D.) at the same time? I don’t think so.

There may be some schools that have guaranteed law school admittance after BS. I know that Bama has some arrangement with its law school for auto admittance for some Honors students. But, you still get your BS and then attend law school.

My advice to you is not to go to law school.

It is a big mistake.

There is a VAST over-supply of lawyers.

I was given this advice years ago, and rejected it, to my detriment.

I give you this advice not only based on my own experience, but the experience of a myriad of friends and co-workers as well.

@mom2collegekids: yep, i was asking about BS and JD doing together! because its like taking a risk, right? ur BS scores matter for the J.D admissions otherwise right?
thanks
