<p>The Common App only allows 10 spaces for activities so if I have a couple that are in the same category (such as say, a school club and an outreach organization about the same field) should I group them together or pick and choose the best ones for the application?</p>
<p>It depends, but I’ve worked with different types of theatre groups, for example, and I’m grouping them all together an elaborating in the text box below. If you NEED to save space, then I’d do that, but if you can list them out separately, I think that would be preferable. Just my opinion, though.</p>
<p>Yes, I did that last year. I had for example school music, non-school music, music competitions, summer music, dance, etc. its perfectly reasonable to lump things together.</p>
