clusters

Do they add/remove clusters every year? I was checking the most recent clusters, but they don't have the cluster I was looking for anymore.

which cluster are you looking for?

They change slightly, from year to year.

There was one about politics and culture in East Asia, which I was planning on taking... before I found out that they didn't offer next year!

Or will it?

I hope I'm wrong.

The one about politics and culture in East Asia. =)

Hm...hopefully they'll have it....

The Asian one has been gone for a while...

How saddening. :'( Thanks for the info though. :)

what clusters do you guys think are cool? if i take clusters, im leaning towards the race one/evolution of life/environment, anyone have a take on any of these or others?

I like the Biotechnology one...

You can check out enrollment figures at http://www.registrar.ucla.edu/schedule/. Select Fall 2005 and General Education Clusters. Then browse at the figures for each of the offered clusters.

ucapp, how is the biotechnology cluster?

It's okay. Too much ethics in my opinion because I wanted as much science as possible.

You can see my answer to your question from an earlier thread. :)

is there any particular cluster that is easier than the others like how ive heard modern thought is the hardest cluster?

oh i hate the cluster program. or actually, my seminar is pretty interesting right now haha.

I'm looking for a way to get rid of my science GE over with asap =) I was wondering if the Global Environment one got rid of most of those (I can't find where it says that on the UCLA website), and if anybody here on CC has taken that particular cluster and recommends/doesn't recommend it.

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone could detail me in on the clusters. Are they difficult or time consuming? Should I second guess applying in as an incoming freshman?

They are more time consuming considering the fact that it is designed to satisfy a bunch of requirements (Writing II, Honors, Honors Collegium, Seminar, 3 regular GE courses).

This is the ONLY time that you can sign up for a cluster. It's for freshmen only.

would you recommend freshman clusters?

cluster:
15 honors credits
4 honors collegium
3 ges
writing 2 requirement
seminar requirement

anyone with info about the "Performing Arts and Society" cluster?
