CMC Featured in The Princeton Review's 2010 "The Best 371 Colleges"

Received the following email on 7/27/09 from CMC. (I've reformatted it a little to fit here)....

To the CMC Community,

Claremont McKenna College is featured as one of the nation’s most outstanding colleges in The Princeton Review’s new 2010 edition of The Best 371 Colleges. CMC tops several surveys which were compiled from over 122,000 student responses including, 1st in “Easiest Campus to Get Around,” and 3rd in both “Best Quality of Life,” and “School Runs Like Butter.”

CMC was also among only 13 colleges selected by The Princeton Review to their 2010 Financial Aid Honor Roll, receiving the highest possible rating score of 99. Data for this rating was collected and analyzed from 623 colleges. The Financial Aid ratings—scores on a scale of 60 to 99—were tallied based on information from surveys of administrators at hundreds of schools in 2008-2009 and surveys of student aid recipients attending the schools. School data included the percentage of students determined to have need who received aid, the percentage of need met, and the percentage of students whose aid was fully met. The rating also factored in data from The Princeton Review’s surveys of students attending the schools about their satisfaction with their aid awards. Read the press release.
Each survey that ranks colleges measures different variables and uses different methodologies. The results of this survey, along with others conducted throughout the year, contribute to our understanding of several outcome measures related to CMC, and how CMC is perceived by students, alumni, recruiters, peers and others. Individual rankings should be interpreted as but one indicator, among many, of a college's quality and impact.
