Are there any CMC transfer applicants for the fall on here?

I only ask because considering Marshall being a popular choice for USC transfers, I can only imagine CMC would also be on a student's list.

Or does it usually end up being UCLA vs USC?

i think cmc and usc are different enough to get a pretty different crowd

hmm i applied to both usc and cmc

manut, have you heard from cmc, what is your major?

economics..and nope i haven't heard back yet..they say may 15th is when they reply

what is your first choice, what other schools have you applied to?

is cmc claremont mckenna?

Yes, Claremont McKenna College.

I am applying to CMC next Spring.

The CMC college system is pretty sweet. The main CMC college is a really great LAC. But I really don't think that many people who are considering the large universities such as UCLA and USC are really considering CMC. I just got accepted to UCLA and I was considering CMC.

I go to UCSB, but I visit CMC a LOT and it's amazing. Seriously. They just built a really nice new dorm so that there's more room to expand the number of students. I've also heard that they're accepting 50 transfers this year, which is huge. Personally, I would choose to go there in a heartbeat.

A lot of community colleges in the socal area have a priority admission agreement with Pomona college if you complete the schools honors program. I was going to apply but I did not want to take the SATs.

Thedude44, do you know any of the community colleges in the LA area that have that priority admissions agreement with Pomona?

I applied to CMC for fall, coming from an art school, so I think I may have to start from scratch at a CCC if I don't get into CMC. I'd apply again to CMC for fall 09, and now Pomona, if that agreement does exist with Pomona.

Just check out SMC, ECC, and just the bunch of community colleges in LA. Just go to the schools honors websites and see if they agreements with Pomona.

Yea if you're an honors program student at SMC they have an agreement with Pomona College.

thanks, hopefully i wont have to go through them and get into cmc or usc for fall 08.

i asked my honors counselor at SMC and he said there really is no agreement with Pomona..
they just tell them that you have completed an honors program and that's about it..
i dunno what he meant by that :(

oh that's weird. i know that when i was sending my app in to occidental, i called oxy to confirm the agreement, and they do in fact have one for honors program students. hopefully that helps...haha

i guess the best thing to do is call pomona and ask which one they have an agreement

I applied to both USC and CMC. Waiting to hear back from both

CMC decisions are suppose to be out on the 15th, i wonder if we can call and ask or we'll have to wait in the mail.

TJMOSS where would you go?
