rank: 41/209

subjective
ECs:
Wrestling
(9-12; team captain-11th, Head captain-12th, 3x district champion)
Marching Band
(9-12; section leader-11th, drum major-12th, band placed at state marching contest 11th grade year, and I was a solist in that show)
Human Rights Club
(10-12; vice president; it's a volunteering organization. we do little stuff all year long and then organize a big project annually, e.g. benefit for UN landmine removal proj)
Comedy Club
(12; founder and president; learns performance comedy (skits, improv, standup) with professionals; I put the whole thing together)
Some other stuff, including film club (12; treasurer), baseball (10), NHS (10-12), etc.
job/work experience: summers before grades 9-11 I worked as a camp counselor at the local Jewish community center fro the kindergarten age group; full time job, lots of responsibility
essays: My main essay is killer. For the first college I applied to, the admissions committee wrote to me about how untraditional, creative, awesome, etc. it was and let me in months before the notification deadline. My supplemental essays are ok to good
recs: hard to say, probably good. My counselor tsaid hers was, and the two teachers are known for writing the best at my HS. However, I waived access, and dunno if I stood out enough in class, though it was clear I was inquisitive (and a natural at the sciences)
hook: none

weaknesses: rank, and dunno if it's clear that I volunteer (through a school-related club)

Wow. Your scores and GPA are awesome. You have good EC’s. I would say your a low reach/high match to these schools. You have a pretty good shot.

*Chance me?

b u m p

Also, any more feedback? I gots ta know!

One of my older brother’s classmates got into Yale. I’m sure your statistics are a bit better than his, and your a very well-rounded student as he was. Again, I am sure you have a pretty good shot at getting into Yale, and the other schools may require you to cross your fingers, but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if you got in! Good Luck!

Very impressed. Obviously there is a lot of variability in some of the top schools, but you will certainly get into at least a few. Good luck, and chance me http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1055573-i-know-its-early-but-chances-junior.html
