<p>I also called CMU to confirm our audition in Chicago, which they did. I asked whether D should come dressed in dance clothes or audition clothes, and the woman I talked to wasn't sure. She transferred me to another person and I got her voice mail that said she would be doing regional auditions out of town until Feb. 19th. So, don't know the answer either.</p>
<p>I would have your kids go in their audition clothes and bring their dance bags with them - that is what everyone did when my D went to CMU a few weeks ago. They will divide the kids into 2 groups and give them ample time to change - one group does dance while the other is called individually to sing or do the monologue, not necessarily consecutively or in that order. Then the 2 groups switch, change back and so on. Any other ?s, ask away.</p>

<p>Hi! I'm auditioning for CMU in Pittsburgh on Sunday, and I was just wondering if someone could tell me the location of the auditions. I lost my confirmation email, and I just wanted to double check. I'm heading to the campus right from the airport. Thanks!</p>
<p>The audition is at the Purnell Center. Usually auditionees meet in the acting studio on the 3rd floor - take the elevator that's right inside the door up to the 3rd floor and turn left. :)</p>

<p>Someone said they were sending them out this Thursday.</p>
<p>They are sending them out the 22nd of March..and i believe its by letters..but 3 days after the letter are sent, they will post the decision on your status online...</p>

<p>Last week, my D was told by CMU staff that over 1000 auditioned and 28 were accepted: 12 for MT, and 16 for Acting, 6 of which were female. (Interesting that there are more guys.) Good Luck everybody!</p>

<p>Do you mean that only 6 out of the entire 28 were girls which would include acting and MT? At my daughter's audition they did say that they take more guys because of casting reasons but 6 girls out of 28 ....that's impossible odds!!!!</p>

<p>When I asked they told me 6 MT females would be accepted. i didn't ask about drama.</p>
<p>To answer both questions, rumor has it that they're taking ONLY 3 girls ("this (boys) is the direction of the industry at the moment" another rumored quote)!!
Btw, we know of a girl who was just accepted (CMU/M/T) and lives in California. Yes, the odds are impossible!! :'-(</p>
