cmu and emory

Which college is better, in your opinion, Emory or Carnegie Mellon?

I know they both have weaknesses and strengths
But I want to know which is more respected by general people around

Thank you in advance

It depends on your interests. Both are fine schools but are quite different.

Emory is more highly regarded.

If you are CS go to CMU no matter what, otherwise I would recommend emory

I love Carnegie Mellon, but I'm choosing Emory over it. Emory offers a more typical college experience, which I guess I was looking for. Although I'd be doing lots of premed science courses at CMU, I'd be enrolled at the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CMU doesn't have one big arts and sciences college), and this is the weakest of the colleges at CMU. Also, Carnegie Mellon is pretty nerdy - not that that's a bad thing necessarily.

If you want to do computer science, engineering, or acting, go with CMU. For other fields it will be a more difficult decision.

I'm trying to decide between CMU mcs and Emory too!
Right now I'm leaning toward Emory... It seems like a more well-rounded college experience. Plus it's in the south. In terms of which one is more respected, I'd say they're both held in the same regard.
