<p>I actually heard back yesterday. By email</p>

<p>and which college did you get in/out?</p>
<p>I was firstly admitted to CIT and around last night heard back from SCS’s waitlist.</p>
<p>Hi, I made a mistake. The email said, we have to reply them if we still hope to remain on the PPWL in the subject line of the email, but I reply them not on the subject line…</p>

<p>@garage12: i thought you couldn’t accept priority waitlist if you already have been accepted to other college?</p>
<p>I’m PWL for H&SS too, Creative Writing. Did anyone not get a financial aid package? I’m about to call them because I’m pretty sure we were supposed to hear about it…</p>
<p>EDIT: I just called them and my package showed up… not enough to attend, unfortunately. :(</p>

Like I remember they said we can ask them to switch WL or something, can we ask if there are free spaces in a different college???</p>

<p>on the WL reply form you could put down another college for consideration if there were open spaces in there</p>
<p>Just got a phone call. They said that they’re not taking anyone for CIT from the priority wait list. Would have been nice to know that a month ago, haha.</p>
<p>Yeah, I guess their yield is really high this year. Even with the financial instability :3</p>

<p>My son just got a call that they are not accepting anyone from the SCS priority wait list either.</p>
<p>It kind of sucks that he (and I’m sure many others) went to a lot of trouble to write a nice letter and get another teacher recc to add to the file.</p>
<p>I have to say I’m really surprised. On paper my son had stats that looked like CMU was a match. His SATs were 800V, 770M, 790V; SAT 2s: 800s on Math 2, Physics and Chemistry. He has also taken 12 AP courses, mostly in math and science and scored mostly 4s and 5s.</p>
<p>However, his GPA was only 92UW, which is a little below the accepted GPAs that Naviance shows for our school. (Though the weaker grades were in social studies and English.)</p>
<p>Go figure…</p>

<p>I got the same call for MCS. They enrolled a full class, no one off the PWL :(</p>
<p>This was really weird indeed. Didn’t they even say PWL acceptance rate was usually ~30%?? Maybe they’re playing us and “not accept anyone right now” because they already informed the people who were accepted off the PWL…or maybe I’m just being paranoid</p>
