I’m most likely going to major in computer science, so I’m really interested in aplying to CMUs school of computer science. These are the requirements for classes listed on the website:
4 years of English
4 years of Mathematics (“should include at least algebra, geometry, trigonometry, analytic geometry and pre-calculus, though we prefer that students have calculus.”)
1 year of Physics
2 years of Chem, Bio, or CS
2 years of Foreign Language
3 electives
I will have taken 4 years of English, 4 years of math, 2 years of physics, 3 years of foreign language, a lot of electives, 1 year of chem, 1 year of bio, and a semester comp math course. When it says 2 years of chem, bio, or CS, does it mean that I need either 2 years of chem, 2 years of bio, or 2 years of CS? Or does taking one year of bio and one year of chem meet the requirement?
I’m a junior rn and my this is my schedule for next year:
Senior year
AP Gov
AP physics E&M
journalism/woodshop
Lunch
Honors Linear algebra
AP Lang
AP Spanish
Honors computational math/health
The slash represents semester courses. I have to take a practical arts (woodshop) and health, but the rest I chose. If I need to add either chem or bio to meet application requirements, how should I change my schedule?
