<p>Prodesse, that’s definitely how it looks. Ithaca added dance and CMU took it away. Your son is at Ithaca, right? Was there really no dance audition at all?</p>
<p>Sure is true my S was PO’d he knows what he lacks in acting he makes up in dance.</p>
<p>My son is mad too, because the only MT school he auditioned for was Ithaca, all the rest he applied in Acting. He says he would have applied to CMU in MT if they hadn’t required a dance at the audition. He didn’t get in for Acting anyway, and he’s very happy at Ithaca, so never mind.</p>
<p>No dance audition for Ithaca last year. This year I believe they ask for some dancing in the prescreen but not at the actual audition.</p>
<p>What?!!! They want it in the prescreen, but it probably won’t be part of the actual audition? I know they have new department head. I guess they’re throwing things out there and seeing what sticks.</p>
<p>When I try to schedule Hannah’s audition at CMU, it’s saying they can’t find her app. She applied via common app last month. Is this just a typical delay? Or do you think I should email in case there’s an issue?</p>
<p>I’m all about sending an email. However, they didn’t start processing applications until October 1st and stated that processing them would be slow in the beginning of October as a result.</p>

<p>Received e-mail from CMU today thanking my son for applying. Applied through CA on 10/1.
Spoke to a wonderful woman in Admissions last Thursday because my son never received an submission confirmation from CA. I didn’t know if it was a CA issue or not. She reassured me that his application would come through.
He is registered to audition in Chicago, phew!</p>
<p>Hmmm my S applied on 9/30, he hasn’t received anything and still can’t schedule an audition.</p>

<p>The woman I spoke to on Thursday at CMU said they were about to process two hundred applications. My son submitted his application on 9/30 around 8:00PM, but I referenced the 10/1 date because that was the date the adobe pdfs of the application and the writing supplements on the CA dashboard were given. I had visions of e-mailing copies of the darn thing to CMU. My son received the e-mail late this morning.</p>
<p>S received his CMU emails this AM and I booked his audition…shhwweeww. </p>
