I'm a junior in HS and I want to attend a good university when I graduate in 2012. Of course as I look at the list of good colleges in the northeast, Carnegie Mellon University is close to the top. Carnegie Mellon University has a D3 Men's Soccer team that I might want to try and get recruited for. I just want to know, is it relatively simple to get recruited for the Soccer team? Or is there tons of competition? I was planning on, depending on the responses I receive regarding this post, attending the CMU Men's Soccer Team "Prospect Camp" over the summer to try and get noticed. If anyone can offer any sort of insight, I would be very grateful.

P.S. I consider myself good enough to make the team maybe as a walk on, but the only shaky part about my future application is my GPA, so I didn't want to chance not being accepted into the school. That is why I am considering going to this "Prospect Camp" over the summer.

THX a bunch.
