CMU Pre-College Acceptance 2007

Upstate NY (Webster, near Rochester)

Cool.

What year of high school are you going into? I'm going into my junior year.
I just found out only one of my finals is going to have an essay on it. I think the heat is getting to my teachers.

I'm going into my senior year. Didn't even think about summer programs until March, so I missed RSI and YESS applications.

bumpity bumpity

Hey, anyone else in the architecture program? I just got accepted, hope to see some of you there. It sounds awesome.

I haven't heard of anyone taking the classes I am xD

Well, there are about 110 people in the APEA each year. I'm sure many of them aren't on college confidential! Don't fret. Each class is small, but you won't be the only one! Does anyone know what tower our Morewood Gardens dorm rooms are in?? There are pictures on the CMU site for doubles in two sets of towers. Can anyone clarify so I know what I'll be working with??

Yeah - i second wanting to know that. I think that we are in both towers, E if you are lucky - but I'm not sure.

Is everybody in Morewood, no matter which Pre-College program they're in?

From what I have gathered from various handbooks that I've found online and such, all of Pre-College programs will be housed in Morewood, except for SAMS, which is under the heading Pre-College, but will be housed in Hamerschlag.

I do think we're all in Morewood. Those running the APEA program have been calling all the students to see if they'll actually be coming (some did drop out). Right now they're making the room assignments for all Pre-College programs (not sure about SAMS). I hope I get a room with a high bed that has a desk underneath it. I'm bringing a TV, Desktop, and MiniFridge so I need space!!

Anyone else getting really excited?

absolutely. majorly excited lol
im hoping for a bed and a seperate desk and dresser because those rooms are usually bigger. and that way when i totally screw up in dance class and sprain my ankle, i wont have to climb up to my bed lol

I'm both very excited and worried as hell.

Trust me, I'm just as worried as I am excited.

This should be...interesting.

I am quite worried too I guess, but it will be so much fun! Just a lot of studying probably. Hahaha...

It's almost time to go to CMU!

Leaving on Friday...

I live close enough to Pittsburgh to drive. Which means I'm bringing my car! (I'm a commuter, btw. Staying w/ grandparents outside of Pittsburgh.)

I'm actually leaving this Friday too, in the afternoon. My family is going to sleep over at a small hotel since we don't want to deal with registration/etc. after 5 hours in a car (we're driving). We'll get up Saturday morning and register as soon as possible.

Yeah...I think my parents want to go in later to register.

I wish I wasn't commuting.

I'm flying to Pittsburgh. I hope this will be fun and not as stressful as I imagined it to be.
