I'm applying for the Pre-College program at Carnegie Mellon for this summer, but I have a bad feeling my academics will be really underwhelming. I got a 2140 on the SAT and a 217 on the PSAT, which are honestly both well below my target, but they are what they are for now. My GPA is around a 3.3-3.4 unweighted with all honors classes. Our school is in NJ and is very competitive.
ECs: I play varsity soccer, on the board for the LEO Club chapter of our school, member of the school's Literary Magazine and a few other clubs, and I've played classical piano for ten years. I play in a band outside of school but I doubt that counts.

I'm planning to apply for the architecture program (and hopefully study in college). I really have a passion for art and architecture, and if I was allowed to submit a portfolio I have a large selection of artwork to choose from. It's too bad I can't because I draw and paint all the time and volunteer at my art school. My artwork is all I really have to show for myself which may work in my favor come college app time, but I know it's close to useless at the moment.

So, what are my chances are making the program? Should I drop this and try applying somewhere else? Any advice on what I should write on my essay? Thanks.
