CMU, UIUC or UCLA?

I really don't know what to choose. I'm going for chemical engineering/chemistry.
any suggestions are welcome :)

CMU all the way. A lot of people would kill to go there but you also have to consider the financial situation. How much do all of them cost and how much will you have to take out in loans ?

But think about it like this. UCLA gets the most applications of any school in the country. UIUC is one of the best engineering schools in the country, and is affordable and has D1 athletics. CMU has prestige. Personally, I’d gp into CMU because you are more linked to Chem than Engineering per se and CMU has a very strong department in both. CMU also has a large endowment, so finacial aid could offset the cost to make it as expensive as the two state schools, who won’t give as much. Also, CMU is great to have on a resume for a job straight out of college or for a high-end masters program, but UIUC is great to have to immediately enter a masters program as you have a little less prestige for a bit more in savings that you will need for a masters.

Good Luck! [You are in an enviable situation!]
