**CMU vs UT Austin

Hello everyone!

May 1 is coming up and I am having a hard time deciding which college to attend. I was accepted into McCombs at UT Austin, but not BHP, and Tepper at Carnegie Mellon. Here is a pro-con list, I was wondering if anyone could add to it or help me! Btw I really want to go to CMU, but it is twice as expensive as UT!

McCombs
Pros: CHEAP, large alumni network (texas exes), school spirit, great food in Austin, Castillian (the housing i would have) is absolutely amazing
Cons: large class, hugggeee campus, not sure if I would be able to get out of Austin/Houston area post grad

Tepper
Pros: not in texas, small class size and campus, already made a group of friends at SBW and have a roomie, powerful alumni, doesn’t make me take a lot of random prereq classes (history and english), I can easily double major in finance and stats
Cons: EXPENSIVE

I want to do i-banking or consulting and I feel like Tepper is the best place for me to be able to get onto Wall Street/NYC. UT is costing me 30K a year and CMU is about 55K. I don’t want to have to be paying off student loans for the rest of my life, but I feel like with the job opportunities during and post grad at Tepper, the debt won’t be an issue. Any help from parents, current students, alums, or anyone else that knows the business/finance programs at these schools would be amazing! Thank you in advance!
