<p>You pay the deposit after you get in… paying it before you find out will not increase your chances and if you get rejected you will lose $800.</p>

<p>There’s no way he’d know it was because he paid the deposit. He could’ve just been admitted because they were going to admit him anyways, and the deposit was just a happy coincidence. I wouldn’t recommend paying unless you have $800 to drop in case you don’t get off the waitlist.</p>
