CMU, what do you need to get in?

What GPA, class rigor, test scores, ECs, volunteer hours, and work experience do you need to get in for Carnegie mellon SCS

See section C of the most recent CMU Common Data Set:
[Common Data Set 2010-2011-Institutional Research & Analysis - Carnegie Mellon University](http://www.cmu.edu/ira/CDS/cds_1011.html)

Rigor, rank, GPA and test scores are all very important.
719 SAT M average (median band: 680-780)
670 SAT CR average (median band: 620-720)
72% in top 10% of HS class
3.64 average GPA

These numbers are for all entering students. I would think the SCS averages are higher.

33.3% acceptance rate
21% ED acceptance rate

TK, the SCS is even tougher to get into than the rest of CMU. Only 11% of applicants to the SCS are admitted and the mid 50% SAT is 1460-1580 (M+CR). We are talking MIT/Caltech territory.
