Hi, I was admitted to the Tepper School of Business and I'm considering going to CMU, but I hear a lot of stories about the intense workload at CMU and how everyone pretty much studies all the time. Can anyone tell me about their experience at Tepper? Thanks!

My brother is an Archie at CMU. Everyone on campus jokes about the workload at two colleges: H&SS (what they like to call H&less-stress) and Tepper, where one of the requirements is 3 credits of a physical education apparently? Frankly, I think he is just a bit cynical as he is an Archie who is in studio 4+ hours a day.

Of course you’ll be doing work. This is college! But I do know that people still have fun at CMU. Take a look at all of the clubs and organizations they have for proof. :D

Current Tepper senior here. Not sure where the Archie above got his information, but Tepper has as much work as any other program here (except SCS)- depending on concentration within the Tepper school. There is no phys ed requirement, but there are enough requirements to keep you busy. Sophomore and Junior years are the busiest, however I would not say overwhelming by any means.
