No, I read that... I mean value wise: like, do the dineX points 'cost more' because you trade them for meal blocks when you buy a ticket...
I don't really expect to buy THAT much gum...

aha! thank you, NotAPrettyGirl...that was my question...

This is not that complicated.. just get the 70 bucks of dine x and however many meal blocks you think you need (21, 24, etc.).

Unless you are a person who plans his day to the SECOND you will find meal blocks to be wasted or useless. Dine x is never wasted/useless as it is equivalent to cash.

For prices: A full meal usually is about 6-7 bucks. It is VERY hard to run out of meal blocks once the semester gets rolling. Also, it is not "gum" you buy. You can stock your fridge up with drinks (yes you'll need them) and other stuff. You can also buy coffee with dineX, breakfast, cereal, etc.

Finally: You are allowed to change meal plans after 1 semester so just get the 70 Dine X and let's say 24-27 meal blocks and see how you like it. You can always change it later.

How much does a normal meal cost in terms of DineX points?

So, this is basically only AcceptedAlready saying we should get the $70... does anyone want to second his opinion??? Or contradict it..

6-7. But why would you buy a meal in DineX? I mean you can but almost everybody always has meal blocks left.

My first year I had 24 meal blocks and 70 bucks so I recommend this as a starting plan (you can change it after 1 semester).

I speak for the masses :)

Here's a Computer Science survey on freshmen who have finished fall semester.

"Try everything. At CMU you are presented with many opportunities to grow and some may change the rest of your life! Also get the meal plan with the most dine-xtra and the least meal blocks, the school takes too much of your money as it is!"

our lowest is 21 plus 76.. I think I'll take that.

I agree notaprettygirl... oh, and thank you acceptedalready for the freshman class advice, it was enlightening...
you know, I feel really silly calling you two by yours sns...
